The Erich Pommer Institute announces a new application phase for its career enhancement programme AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN. This initiative addresses gender disparities in the film and media sectors by empowering and supporting female managers in various roles across the audiovisual value chain.
AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN offers a unique opportunity for women working in the audiovisual industry, including film, television, and digital media, to enhance their skills, network with industry experts, and access coaching opportunities. The programme includes online and on-site workshops led by seasoned experts who provide guidance and support to help participants advance in their careers. It also includes access to some of EPI’s exclusive eTrainings and individual business coaching sessions.
The programme is aimed at female professionals in middle and senior management positions and aims to promote inclusivity, diversity, and equality in the media industry. Unique is the final module of the programme, which is aimed at the HR managers or the respective decision-makers in their companies.
The programme will be conducted in five modules from October 2023 to March 2024. Applications for AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN can be submitted from now on via the programme's website until 4 September. A free online information event will take place on 6 June. We are very pleased to welcome alumna Katarina Prpić, who will share her experiences from participating in the first edition.
Reflecting on the programme, Katarina Prpić (Producer | Antitalent) says: "AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN was a real game-changer for me, both personally and professionally. I gained the knowledge and courage to get to know myself better as a producer, colleague, and leader, all in the wonderful company of strong and interesting women who are now my wonderful friends."
Sacha Gertsik (Producer | Grom Productions / De Ontmoeting), who also participated in the first edition:"AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN is an exceptional programme that not only provides new skills and insights into the audiovisual industry but also offers an extensive network of professionals from across Europe. The group of women I met through this training (both the participants, the trainers, and the organisers from the Erich Pommer Institute) has become a close-knit group of reliable colleagues and beyond that, friends. AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN was an invaluable and special experience."
The new application phase offers women in the audiovisual industry a valuable opportunity to access the resources and support they need for a successful career. EPI is looking forward to welcoming a new group of talented women into the programme.
We would like to thank our supporter Creative Europe – MEDIA as well as our partners EAVE – European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, Göteborg Film Festival and EWA – European Women’s Audiovisual Network for their support. Further partners will be confirmed shortly.
